All About LoaKai🌺

In the summer of 2021, while my husband was deployed to Qatar for the military, I spent countless hours at waterparks with my kids. The intense sun made me realize I needed a good pair of boardshorts to protect myself from harmful UV rays and sunburn. Despite searching online for almost two weeks, I couldn’t find anything suitable for women. The closest options were men’s boardshorts, which still didn’t fit right for a women and provide adequate protection. That’s when I made it my mission to create LoaKai boardshorts specifically for women and girls.

LoaKai boardshorts are named after my daughter Kai, who has always been my inspiration. Despite being told at a young age that she would never play sports, Kai defied all expectations. She has excelled in competitive dance, tumbling, and now plays competitive Junior Golf in Utah and nationally. Kai’s perseverance and determination has taught me to push forward and never stop until I’m proud. She is the heart of LoaKai, and her spirit drives our mission. Kai also helps create our handmade bracelets and is learning the ropes of entrepreneurship for her own future endeavors.

Our boardshorts are made with 90% recycled polyester and 10% spandex, providing peace of mind with Sun-Safe UPF 50+ protection that blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays. The 4-way stretch fabric ensures a lightweight, relaxed, and comfortable fit with quick-dry properties. When designing LoaKai boardshorts, I made sure they were perfect fit for women and girls, adding extra velcro for the fly closure to make them easy to put on and take off. No more struggles, just effortless comfort.
